Quick Update - Products

The Quick Update page for products will allow you to instantly update a large variety of information about your products.

  • Select Quick Update from the Products section of the main menu.

  • Using the drop-down menus and the search bar you will be able to look through all of your products. You will be presented with a table menu with several editable fields. Information present but not editable is highlighted below in red:
    • Product - the name of the product
    • Group - the Product Group that the product is located in
    • Product Code - the supplier's product code associated with that item
    • Supplier - the supplier for that item
    • Pack-Size - the pack size of that item
    • Tax% - the percentage of tax applied to this product
    • Cost and Cost Unit - the cost and the particular cost unit of that item
    • Yield% - the percentage yield of that product
      • Hotel Charge? will only appear if the option is switched on for your location.
  • Using the option Select Columns to Update provides the user with a further menu that can be used to customize the Quick Update fields. 

  • Four available fields are the maximum. To add further fields you will need to untick some of these options and add the new ones, then click on Apply.
  • Additional fields you can also adjust using Quick Update are:
    • Bin  - the bin number for that item, if you use a bin numbering system.
    • Minimum Order Qty - the minimum order quantity for that product. This information will appear on your order pages.
    • Par Level - the par level required to be kept in stock of this product. This information will appear on your order pages.
    • Default Units:
    • Stock Count - the default stock count unit for this item
    • Usage - the default usage unit for this item
    • Order - the default order unit for this item

The delete symbol can be used to archive the product. This page autosaves, so any changes you make will be instantly applied.

  • If you would like to view the information in a .CSV format, click on Export.
  • Clicking Print will show you an easy-to-read page for printing.
