▶️Add Menu Item Follow
The Add Menu Item option is a simple method to construct recipes with only one ingredient, such as glasses of wine, single spirit shots, or bottle items.
- Click to the right of the product information on the Product List.
- On the Add Menu Item page, some fields may be filled in by default or generated automatically by the system according to the values you enter.
- In the information below, red fields must be entered, some are filled by default or automatically generated though in some cases they may be edited.
- This page displays the following details:

Item Name – The name of your recipe.
- You can use the [copy name] option to quickly copy the name of the product to the Item Name field.
- Sales Category – A Sales Category for your recipe.
- PLU– An EPoS ID/SKU/Unique Identification code to connect the recipe to your sales software.
- Menu Price – the price you will sell the product at.
- Sales VAT (%) - This value will be automatically applied according to your location's default information but can be edited.
- Size – this is an editable drop-down field. It will display the product’s default pack size but if there is more than one pack size associated with the product you will be able to change it.
- Usage Unit – The unit of measurement you use to sell the product. This will default to a particular unit based on the product information but can be edited.
- Usage Qty – quantity of the product being sold.
- Cost (Ex Vat) - The NET cost of the product by labeled unit.
- Menu Item Cost - the cost of the entered quantity.
- Menu Item GP (%) - The Gross Profit (GP) percentage is based on the sales price and cost of the product.

Item Name – The name of your recipe.
- If you'd like to start again, you can delete your entries or click on the Clear button on the left of the page.
- When you are finished and all fields are complete, click on the Save Menu Item button.
- Below the Add Menu Item field, the page will display any current single-item recipes using this product.
- Clicking on these recipes will move their details to the Add Menu Item fields where they can be edited and saved, overwriting the previous recipe details.
