Dear Stocktake Online Users,

As you will undoubtedly know, Stocktake Online is a constantly evolving system. We always strive to improve our software and service, incorporating ideas from the hospitality industry and you, our users. In listening to feedback from various sources, we find improvements to be made and tweaks to implement. 

Please take a look at the following notes on the changes we have made and the new features we have added. As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like any extra information on the changes to Stocktake Online.

Update includes:

• Barcode feature

Users can now record inventory using barcodes, but the barcode must first be added at the product level. Once added, it will be automatically mapped to all locations where the product package is available.

To add a barcode, navigate to the product list in the app and select the desired product. Open the product details and click on the barcode scan option in the upper right corner. Then, choose the package to which the barcode should be assigned and click on 'Barcode Scan.'

The barcode for a product can be changed at any time by following the same process. When a new barcode is scanned for a product package, it will replace the old one if it's already in the database.

The Delete button can be used to remove a barcode from a product package.

While performing inventory in the app, the period should only be added after the barcode has been assigned to the product in order for the process to work correctly.

On the stocktake sheet, products can be searched by scanning their barcode.

After recording the count, click the cloud symbol in the upper right corner to sync the stock counts.

Multiple product packages can have either the same or different barcodes, with one barcode assigned to each package. During inventory, you can select the corresponding product package for the same barcode.

Products with barcodes will appear as below on the web.
