STO Update 26th April '24
Dear Stocktake Online Users,
As you will undoubtedly know, Stocktake Online is a constantly evolving system. We always strive to improve our software and service, incorporating ideas from the hospitality industry and you, our users. In listening to feedback from various sources, we find improvements to be made and tweaks to implement.
Please take a look at the following notes on the changes we have made and the new features we have added and as always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like any extra information on the changes to Stocktake Online.
Update includes:
- Fill Order Qty to Par level on the Order Creation page
- Default Product price in Adjustments
- New filter & Full grouping on Product list
- Product price while creating recipes
- Recipe Sales Price Update
Fill Order Qty to Par level on the Order Creation page
A new option, "Fill Order Qty to Par Level," has been added to the order creation page. This feature automatically fills the order quantity for products that have a par level defined in the system. While calculating the quantity, the system also takes into account the Minimum Order Quantity & the Optional Order Unit(if configured for the product).
The quantities can still be manually modified after applying the feature, giving users flexibility to adjust as needed before finalizing the order.
Please keep the following points in mind when using this option:
- Autofill will only apply to products that have a par level defined in the system.
- If even one order quantity is entered manually, the autofill functionality will be disabled for that session.
- Similarly, if the order unit is changed for any product with a defined par level, the autofill option will also be disabled.
Default Product price in Adjustments
While recording inward/outward adjustments, admins can now modify the price only for the specific products that require a change. The system will automatically reflect the default price for all other products, eliminating the need to manually enter prices for each item, thereby streamlining the adjustment process.
Just so you know, product price modification will be possible only if enabled from Location Setup.
New filter & Full grouping on Product list
A new filter has been added to the Product List page, allowing users to bifurcate between products and batches, making the sorting process more efficient and user-friendly.
The Grouping column has also been enhanced to now display the complete hierarchy—including Section, Category, and Group—for all products, offering better visibility and insights at a glance.
Product price while creating recipes
While adding ingredients to a recipe, the system price for each product will now be visible directly on the recipe creation page, enabling more accurate and informed cost planning.
Recipe Sales Price Update
A new feature, "Recipe Sales Price Update," has been introduced to allow users to bulk update the sales prices of recipes using the export/import method. This feature is accessible to any user with recipe modification rights in the database.
For multi-site databases, users will be able to view and select locations based on their access permissions when exporting the file, ensuring accurate and relevant data handling.
Please ensure that the sales price is neither left blank nor set to "0" when updating prices.
Entries with missing or zero sales prices will not be uploaded, and the system will display an error line in the downloadable report indicating the issue.
If the uploaded file shows error lines due to missing or invalid sales prices, you can modify the sales price directly in the exported file. Once corrected, the same file can be re-imported to update the data in the system.
This allows for quick rectification without needing to start the process from scratch.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like any extra information on the changes to Stocktake Online.
